It simply makes sense! For most indigenous people, identity is strongly linked to the land. Having indigenous rangers and indigenous protected areas has numerous benefits: It helps younger generations reconnect with their heritage, it provides employment where it is needed, it keeps sensitive areas cherished and protected.
