Indigenous rangers and indigenous protected areas are essential to the protection of country. I believe Indigenous people with connection to the land know best how to detect changes, protect species and landscape, and work with scientists to mitigate the effects of climate change. The knowledge benefits all of Australia and I hope the programme will be expanded and continue indefinitely.
