As a white Australian there is nothing more uplifting than seeing Indigenous youth being empowered to meld the modern techniques of land and cultural management with the knowledge of country that has been practiced for thousands of years. We have a unique opportunity to preserve an ancient culture and provide meaningful employment for indigenous individuals of all ages that draws on the best of both indigenous and western knowledge. It would be my hope that through this interaction of two cultures we achieve true reconcilliation.
