I support Indigenous Rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas because the Indigenous people are the best people to provide the care and protection that is necessary for their culture and our combined history. I agree with a quote from Chris Sarra, who says it is incredibly valuable and educational for the Indigenous children to see proud, strong adults working as Indigenous Rangers. The passion that comes through when Nyaparu Rose says living and working on country is like medicine to her and Barbara Petrick who says you could chuck a million dollars at her and she would not change her job, because the land is more precious to her than anything else. There is no one better to hold these Indigenous Ranger positions than the Indigenous people. We will all benefit.
