I have worked with remote Indigenous communities since 2001 and have seen the great work done by Indigenous Rangers. Think of this. Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park is well managed by Qld NP rangers with a heap of equipment and support. Not far away, Indigenous Rangers manage a much greater area with a fraction of the resources and belong to the country they care for. Supporting Indigenous Rangers is a no brainer for cultural reasons and, if you think that way, the economics stack up too.
