Indigenous Rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas do a great job of managing land and sea country across our Territory to control fire, feral animals, invasive weeds, ghost nets and much more, at the same time as creating local jobs that people are proud to do.

The below message will be sent to the candidates of the major parties in your local electorate.

This message will be sent to your local candidates in the Territory election

    Dear Territory leader,

From the desert to the mangroves, across millions of hectares of our Territory environment, we need to manage country to ensure we have a healthy environment for the future. It’s a huge job, and Indigenous rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas play a vital role in managing land and sea across our Territory. They work to control fire, feral animals, invasive weeds, ghost nets and much more, at the same time as creating much valued local jobs.

The important work Indigenous rangers are doing to protect nature is having positive effects in Aboriginal communities around the Territory. Ranger jobs give people a chance to do meaningful work, be healthy and connected to country, and be leaders and role models for their families and communities.

Our Territory is so vast and unique it deserves ongoing management to match its huge scale.

Please tell me how your party will help to grow and secure funding for Indigenous rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas into the future. I will take this into account when deciding how to cast my vote and my preferences at the upcoming Territory election.

    Kind regards,
(your name and suburb will be inserted here)
