Our Indigenous people have a natural affinity and connection to this land. We have an appalling, ignorant, hidden and shameful record of European settlement on it. Our first step in facing our past, and redressing gross moral wrong, is to make sure our Indigenous people are restored, wherever possible, to their connection to land that was stolen from them. This is work that is necessary, and that they will excel at, but It may also be the groundwork for a new beginning. and an Australia we can be proud of
