I can think of no more important work for our country and for our children - both indigenous and non-indigenous - than to embrace the knowledge, wisdom and experience that has been passed down for tens of thousands of years by those who call this 'country'. By working in partnership with modern technology and making way for those who protected this ancient land and all its life-forms long before 'we' came here to continue to practice their traditions, we have the opportunity not only to benefit and learn from the love that they hold for this land, but also to begin to make amends for the destruction that ensued since 'white' men and women came here. This has the potential for such deep healing for us all; to learn from one another, to respect one another and to ensure that the things that are most precious and have been handed down for generations and through time are not lost or forgotten.
