Country Needs People - Supporter Voices

I don't think there should be any question that there should be as many indigenous rangers as possible. You want a diverse workforce capable of looking after this land and indigenous people who come from those areas have traditional connections that others don't have. They have a stake, a vested interest. Plus it's also clear that people need to be gainfully employed to be independent. I'm all for appropriate training and opportunities to enable more indigenous rangers. I think it could be a significant selling point, also, for attracting international tourists - because local (indigenous) knowledge is deep.

Country Needs People is a national not-for-profit organisation born from the support of hundreds of Traditional Owners around the country.

We pay our respects to all the First Nations people around Australia and their unbroken commitment to keep Country strong on land and sea. We acknowledge Indigenous partners, Traditional Owners, Elders past, present and emerging and extend our appreciation of their support and guidance of our daily work.

ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE, ABORIGINAL LAND.
