Being rangers on their country means a huge amount to the Indigenous rangers, it lifts their pride and self esteem not only to themselves but also to their communities with their elders being proud they are doing good work and the young people having role models to look up to as they grow. There should be a lot more of them funded for the reasons in my 1st paragraph and I also think it will help to keep the over represented prison population down amongst Indigenous people which would be another big win for them.
