On the precipice of major environmental changes and catastrophe, it is time we listened to the First Nations Peoples who kept this land in pristine condition for at least 70,000 years. The country and its animals need protection and care to heal. Further, in turn, this heals us; Our mind, bodies and spirit - not just those of Indigenous Peoples but everyone. Nature allows us to breathe, literally and figuratively, it brings joy and health which provides healthy communities and a healthy nation. Continued funding to Indigenous Rangers also means much needed jobs that not only bring in income but are meaningful.
