Country Needs People - Supporter Voices

When we came to your country,as immigrants it was Australia Day 1980, your people stood on the banks at Botany Bay ,burning eucalyptus and bearing your flag.in my young years we enjoyed stories from many mobs. From the darrawal people. I have had the luxury to travel since then into parts of this country that has as equally frighted me as inspired me . But one thing I do know is that what little of your land is left, even though its vast. Commands the opportunity for rangers that understand true worth ! And be preserved by your stories and heritage.this country needs your people, and the dreamtime stories that bring to life history.

Country Needs People is a national not-for-profit organisation born from the support of hundreds of Traditional Owners around the country.

We pay our respects to all the First Nations people around Australia and their unbroken commitment to keep Country strong on land and sea. We acknowledge Indigenous partners, Traditional Owners, Elders past, present and emerging and extend our appreciation of their support and guidance of our daily work.

ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE, ABORIGINAL LAND.
