About

Who's involved

Country Needs People is an alliance calling to grow and secure Indigenous ranger jobs and Indigenous Protected Areas. The Country Needs People campaign is made up of more than 41 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, who work directly on Indigenous land and sea management and more than 100 000 Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, who have all communicated their support with their political representatives.

Getting the message through about the need to grow and secure Indigenous ranger jobs and Indigenous Protected Areas takes commitment. Country Needs People works continually with our partner groups and supporters to ensure their message about keeping country healthy is heard.

Below are just a few of the many rangers and representatives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations across Australia who Country Needs People have worked with to tell this powerful story.
