I support indigenous rangers in protected areas because this is work that they clearly love doing and feel totally connected to. The rangers are the best people to build knowledge and understanding of these areas and that will feed into refining strategies for caring for this land, that are actually effective. A powerful knowledge base can be developed from people who know what they're doing and really love what they're doing.
