Thirty years ago, my parents took my sister and l out of school to travel Australia. We spent a lot of time in National Parks crossing paths with many rangers but the one l remember the most was an indigenous ranger in the Flinders Ranges called "Badger" he taught us so much about bush tucker including many stories about life living on the land. It was truly an unforgettable experience and his memory has stayed with me. I feel blessed to have had the chance to meet such a knowledgeable and passionate person, truly inspiring to a twelve year old girl who was travelling this great sacred land.
