Country Needs People - Supporter Voices

I feel very close to this country because of a great love for its flora and flora. I paint the threatened flora species of the Cumberland plains woodlands of western Sydney. We only have about 6 percent of bushland left. I paint the disappearing herbaceous flowers that might disappear forever. I stretch a hand out in friendship across to all the people who are helping to save our flora and fauna. Sonia Bennett singer/songwriter/botanical artist.

Country Needs People is a national not-for-profit organisation born from the support of hundreds of Traditional Owners around the country.

We pay our respects to all the First Nations people around Australia and their unbroken commitment to keep Country strong on land and sea. We acknowledge Indigenous partners, Traditional Owners, Elders past, present and emerging and extend our appreciation of their support and guidance of our daily work.

ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE, ABORIGINAL LAND.
