Country Needs People is an alliance calling to grow and secure Indigenous Ranger jobs, Indigenous Protected Areas and strengthening caring for Country on land and sea.
Collaboration lies at the very heart of what we do. We work closely with a growing and dynamic network of over 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partner organisations who are passionate about protecting and nurturing their land and sea Country, and who inspire us every day.
We have also worked hard to enlist the support of the many Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians who see the critical importance of Indigenous land and sea management, and working together for our collective future.
BACKING US IN
There are now more than 120,000 Australians who are backing the work we and our partners are doing, contributing funds to support our operations, joining their voice to our campaigns, and communicating with their political representatives to ensure their concern about keeping Country healthy is heard.
Getting the message through about the need to grow and secure Indigenous Ranger jobs and Indigenous Protected Areas, and the ongoing work of caring for Country in all its forms takes commitment, but the weight of our combined voices is delivering results.
Below are just a few of the many Ranger groups and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led organisations across Australia who Country Needs People works with in continuing to tell this powerful and positive story.
