Give the Gift of Keeping Country Strong.

Protect nature, sustain culture, and create meaningful jobs on Country by leaving a gift in your Will to Country Needs People.

At Country Needs People we understand that writing or updating a Will brings with it opportunities to consider the legacy you leave behind. Here we hope to provide you with the information you need if considering leaving a gift in your Will (also called a “bequest”).

GIFTING IN YOUR WILL

You may choose to leave a gift in your Will for a charity for a variety of reasons:

  • To ensure work you feel passionate about is continued beyond your lifetime
  • To leave a legacy of support that will positively affect the lives of others
  • To have a lasting impact on an area of interest that is meaningful for you.

At Country Needs People, a gift in your Will provides support to Indigenous Rangers and community-led Indigenous organisations, helping them successfully manage their own Country on land and sea.

Our work is funded solely through the generosity of our donors, supporters and grants from philanthropic trusts and foundations.

SAFEWILL

Safewill Opportunity for Country Needs People Supporters

Our trusted online Will partner is Safewill. As a Country Needs People supporter, you are eligible for a discount price of $80 (50% off), and at certain times of the year we are able to offer supporters the opportunity to create a free Will. All Wills are legally reviewed and only take 20 minutes to write. Find out more here.

Your kind gift will contribute to a more sustainable, culturally rich, and equitable future for generations of Indigenous land managers and Indigenous Rangers to the benefit of all.

Country Needs People is a national not-for-profit organisation born from the support of hundreds of Traditional Owners around the country.

We pay our respects to all the First Nations people around Australia and their unbroken commitment to keep Country strong on land and sea. We acknowledge Indigenous partners, Traditional Owners, Elders past, present and emerging and extend our appreciation of their support and guidance of our daily work.

ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE, ABORIGINAL LAND.
