Indigenous ranger programs and Indigenous Protected Areas provide jobs, wellbeing and leadership in communities where they’re needed most.

Rangers fight fires, ferals and weeds, clean up our coastlines, and maintain cultural and tourism sites. Around the country they are helping to bring threatened native animals back from the brink of extinction.

But the future of Indigenous ranger programs is not secure, and the need for more land and sea management far exceeds the resources.
