Who donates to Country Needs People?
We don’t receive any government funding so rely solely on donors (like you!) and philanthropic funders who understand the enormous potential of a strong, well-resourced Indigenous land and sea management sector.
How does my donation to Country Needs People help?
Your donation is critical to Country Needs People’s ability to provide on the ground practical support on the ground to Indigenous Ranger groups, as well as advocacy to build a strong policy and funding environment for Indigenous land and sea management nationally.
Donating to Country Needs People ensures we can:
-
Continue assisting in growing the work of Indigenous Rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas (IPAs) around Australia, and providing practical partner support
-
Consolidate our efforts in remote Australia, while extending our reach into new regions to provide support to burgeoning groups for their on-Country aspirations
-
Help to strengthen Indigenous Ranger programs to protect biodiversity, manage fire and invasive species, and build culturally informed management approaches
-
Maintain support across the political spectrum for Indigenous land and sea management by advocating to state and federal governments, and ensuring governments deliver on their funding promises.
