We're delighted to share a new short film which captures our recent Sea Country Indigenous Protected Areas (IPA) Event in Canberra.

Over 35 Traditional Owners, Indigenous Rangers and IPA specialists attended our Sea Country IPA event, travelling from SE Arnhem Land, Karajarri Country, the Gaaga Wajaarr Sea Country IPA, lutruwita/Tasmania, Wardang Island SA, Geraldton WA, Gunditjmara Country and GunaiKurnai Lands and Waters.

Discover the importance of Sea Country Indigenous Protected Areas in this new film, and how Traditional Owners are caring for Sea Country into the future.

As Karajarri Senior Cultural Ranger Jess Bangu says "What sits on the belly of the earth is the plants, animals, water that we are to look after."

Our deep thanks to all the Indigenous Rangers, Traditional Owners and individuals who made the event so successful, and participated in this film.
