Five years ago after discovering My Grandfather lived and worked among the amazing indigenous tribes in and around Nourlangie Creek, Kakadu, I have taken a keen interest in the area. He learned about the people, the land and the culture and He himself pushed for and encouraged the NT Govt to instate Indigenous Rangers as custodians of the Northern Territory way back in the 1970’s. Thru my own interests in the area since, I’ve come to know some most impressive, hard working families in this region. No one else could do a better job as Rangers as those who understand the environmental history and future issues that are facing us in Australia today. The impact that their work, their proactive and infectious spirit is having on the next generation is vital to the future generations and is critical for the sustainability of this country. I support Indigenous Rangers and believe we need many more throughout Australia.
